With the advent of large passenger jet aircraft in the 1960s, intercontinental travellers largely switched from ships to planes. There are many, however, who enjoy the few days of luxury and enforced idleness that a liner voyage affords, so a small niche market has remained for transatlantic voyages. Excluding this exception, the ocean liner transport business crashed. Cruising voyages however gained in popularity; slowly at first but at an increased rate from the 1980s onwards. Initially the fledgling industry was serviced primarily by redundant liners, and even the first purpose built cruise ships were small. However, after the success of the SS Norway (previously the SS France, re-launched in 1980) as the Caribbean's first "super-ship", the size of these vessels has risen dramatically to become the largest passenger ships ever built.

Great turtle
My 2.5 yr old loves this turtle. Extra bonus I didn't think of when I bought it is that it is easy to take with you anywhere. It will come in handy on trips.

Great idea, terrible product
Being an amateur astronomer and now a parent, I was enticed by the idea of a cute & cuddly product that could help spark an interest and love of astronomy in my children. The idea here is sound and good. The actual product, once received, left me bitterly disappointed. Despite other reviews I've seen here on Amazon, don't expect a CD of relaxing music to come with the turtle.. and don't expect even a 45 minute timer. This has neither. There is a button to turn it on and off.. and a button for each of the three color choices (green, blue and yellow.) I wholeheartedly agree with one of the other reviewers that the yellow lighting is so dim it's hard to see the stars, even in a very dark room, compared to the other color choices. Mind you, I'm writing this from a geek parent's point of view. I doubt most kids would care. I was also disappointed with the actual projection itself - the stars are all the same size, pentagram star-shaped and all the same color. Even with only the "major" stars represented, this still makes it difficult to locate constellations, since the star's brightness and color is a major guide in locating them in the night sky. The upshot of this is that even someone quite familiar with the night sky has trouble locating the easy constellations - I can't imagine the average parent helping their child to see them. It'd also be nice if the moon's phase was adjustable, although there are probably easier ways to teach kids about the moon. In the end, I'm thinking $30 is really expensive for a night light and the quality is far too low to be a decent teaching/inspiring tool. One could easily make a better product by poking an old star map with pin holes and laying it down on a light board.

Twilight Turtle Review
I think it's a great product. My son is seven months old and seems fascinated by it. I also like that it comes with batteries-that's convenient. The one thing that is a bit frustrating-the stars get blurry if you have it far away from the ceiling, even five feet away, which is a normal height dresser. Also, it needs to be in the center of the room, so that makes it difficult to have it up close to the ceiling. Overall, great product-just frustrated by placement of turtle needed for optimal results.

SHOULD BE LESS EXPENSIVE
I bought this for my almost 4 year old daughter for Christmas. I think she will like it, because she likes her Leapfrog LeapPad. Unfortunately, Leapfrog isn't making the LeapPad or the books for it anymore. This Tag system is expensive. The books on sale are expensive. The Tag unit's battery compartment is pretty flemsy. LF recommends a coin or flat head screwdriver to turn the VERY SOFT plastic screw that holds the battery compartment door on. Just with one try, our screw is stripping. Also, the Tag only has enough memory to hold the audio information (which has to be downloaded from the website) for 6 BOOKS ONLY! If you own more than 6 books, you will have to exchange audio download space to be able to read the rest of your books. Other than these hang-ups, the Tag is pretty exciting.

Frustrating to install
I have spent over an hour trying to install the software for this thing. It's not working. It won't connect to their webpage to download the audiobooks. If I had known that I would have to connect to the internet for every audio download, I would have never bought this for my daughter. What happened to the good old cartridge you install in the device?? I have tried disabling my firewall thinking it might be blocking it, but it wasn't. So I am giving up and returning it.

Favorite toy till broke
My two year old learned so much using this tag system. IT would keep him busy for hours. THen out of no where the pen doesnt "read" any of the pages. I tried uininstalling and reinstalling and still nothing. It will play the stories but the interaction with the book is shot. We have only had this three months and for the price it really should have lasted longer. Anyone else have this problem?

I also wish they had more basic learning books, like learning the alphabet and numbers.

H2 Handy Recorder Features at a Glance

The H2 Handy Recorder brings the ultimate in functionality and versatility to portable digital recording. A clear, backlit display features recording levels, time code, file name and remaining battery life. LEDs indicate Front, Rear, 2 Channel or 4 Channel modes and the recording angle: 90°, 120° or 360°. An Active Mic LED is on the front and back of the H2. Transport controls include one button recording, playback and pause, fast forward and rewind. Use the Menu key to enter the control menu and the cursor keys to navigate through the feature sets.

Within the menu, set recording parameters such as direction and polar pattern, activate the Auto Start function and set file format. And you'll find additional settings like Auto Gain Control to make sure your recordings are always pristine. And you can fine-tune your levels on the fly with the Record Level buttons on the front.

On the left side of the H2 is a 1/8" Phone/Line Output for monitoring and playback. Playback Volume, Power On and the AC power are located here as well.

Great Value!
I bought the H2 a few weeks ago and I must say I'm quite satisfied. The H2 comes with a quick set up guide so I was ready to record within a minute. The recordings were very clear thanks to the mic gain control. I really like the ability to import the recorded data into iTunes/iPod. Also, my mac has Garage Band where I can take the data and add different instruments to bring the recorded piece to life. I haven't used all the features yet. It's price makes this a great value. However, the only reason I didn't give it a full 5 stars is because of the weak memory card door. The door has very tiny plastic hinges ( a little bigger than a grain of sand) And it easily broke when I failed to slide the door all the way out before I lifted it up). All in all though, I'm happy with my purchase

H2 better than I expected.
I purchased the H2 to record some of my saxophone practice sessions to get an idea of my overall sound quality. I was pleasantly surprised at the high quality of the recording from such a small device. It gives me great info on tone production, etc. It has more features than I will ever use and I think it was well worth the price.

Good recordings, lots of features, great value.
I bought this because my mp3 player's record feature wasn't able to record our community band practice without overloading and lots of distortion. The H2 has solved this problem well. Very simple to use, once it's been set up... turn it on and press the record button twice, it's recording. Set up takes a little time with the manual. Its user interface is pretty good consdering the small size of the LCD display. You need to do a lot of scrolling, but the menus make sense.
It has good sensitivity and low noise. You can monitor what the mics are picking up, both before and during recording. The 110 degree mic pattern has good coverage and pretty good stereo separation. Its 4-channel record mode writes 2 stereo files simultaneously, and works only with its internal micropones; you can't plug in 4 external mics, there are only 2 ext. mic inputs.
It also has a capable tuner feature and a metronome, but these are a little hard to get to. You can also use it as a USB sound card for your computer, so you can record directly to the computer if you have the right software on your PC, like Audacity or Adobe Audition.
Most important, its recordings sound much better than I expected at this price point.

The brother and sister duo behind Numi Tea

Ahmed, the master alchemist behind Numi's blends, discovered the calming simplicity of tea and herbal teasans while living in Prague, Czech Republic, where he co-owned and ran two teahouses. A distinguished photographer, Ahmed used his artistic and intuitive nature as a foundation for his innovative and artisan approach to the blending of teas.

Fluent in English, Arabic, French, German and Czech, Ahmed is a citizen of the world; each pot of Numi tea is an amalgamation of his worldly cultural knowledge, his in-depth understanding of teas, and his appreciation for quality.

Ahmed's sister Reem has a background that is almost as diverse as the selection of Numi teas. Before the advent of Numi, Reem, a biomedical engineer, moved to Italy to nurture her artistic aspirations. Reem has exhibited her artwork around the world in San Francisco, New York City, Melbourne, and Florence. But you don't need to be a globetrotter to admire her artwork--Reem's original paintings are also exhibited on each one of Numi's packages. Inspired by her brother's photos and by the meditative nature and timeless essence of tea, Reem painted Numi's artwork using oil on small tin plates, with imagery that evokes a slower, more contemplative way of being. Great tea sampler in a gift box
I love the teas, great flavor and a beautiful presentation. The teapot could be nicer but it does the job. I bought this for myself, I would not reserve giving this to a tea lover.

I'm giving these as gifts, but I'd like one myself...
I ordered two of these as gifts and when they arrived I immediately wished I ordered one for myself. I haven't consumed the tea (as they are gifts) but I can say that I was impressed with the packaging. The case that they come in is unique and looks handmade. I opened one of the boxes (there are toggles on the sides of the box) and the tea also comes in a similar looking package.
I am a little concerned that amazon (as well as the numi website) lists this product as kosher (as one of the recipients keeps kosher) but I couldn't find any ingredient information listed so I'm not sure... I hope it's not a huge deal to the recipient (as I've seen them drink coffee here at work from the office coffeepot.)
When I was on the numi website I was impressed to see that amazon sells this product for LESS than they do. Wow. :-)

Great camera!
This camera is exactly what I was looking for! It is small enough for me to stick into my pocket and carry around everywhere, and it takes great pictures!

One of the best!
Compared to my previous three digital cameras, the last one also a Canon Powershot, the Canon PowerShot SD1100 Elph has a much higher pixel count, an optical zoom, image stabilization, face recognition for focus and much more compact size. The price is reasonable for what you get. I haven't even tried the video mode. This also is the first digital camera I feel comfortable carrying around in my pocket as easily as a cell phone.

Perfect Pocket Camera
I got this to always be able to have a camera around to get shots and it slips easily into my purse or coat pocket so I do not have to miss a special shot.

The pictures come out great and I have some photos that I would otherwise have missed.

They do run large.............
These are nice boots but as another reviewer has said they tend to run large. And now I notice the product page even says half sizes should round down. I wear a size 9 and a size 9 boot in this style is wearable for me with thick socks but if I wore an 8 and 1/2 I am sure I would have had to send them back. There's a velcro strap on the side for ease in pulling them off and on though the boots are so large it isn't needed and tightly fastening this strap doesn't do a whole lot in making the fit any snugger. Otherwise these are sturdy, warm, comfortable boots at a fair price.

Very well made but runs big
The style and color are very cute. And they are warm and comforatble. I only wish I had purchsed a size smaller. They run a little big. I've had to wear very thick socks with them

After purchasing several construction items totaling close to $1000.00, This is the item I feel best about purchasing. I know I will have this for many years. Very well built and very strong clamp.

Great Product
This is a well thought out and solidly built device. It is about 43 lbs. but has a built in roller for moving it around. After reading the small manual it is easy to operate. I wish they had enclosed more examples of uses and applications but the users will have no problem find uses for this thing. Only time will tell about durability but it appears tuff. I would tell any person who works with their hands to by one.

Good Product
Does as advertised! A very nice machine but the hardware holding the jaws could be better. Using the log jaws the jaw loosened up and yhe bolt head broke. Bought different carrige bolts and problem solved.

Great Deal
I received this pin nailer as a birthday gift and have used it mostly for nailing very small pieces together for children's toys. I am very impressed with the ease of use and smooth handling. I had read other reviews about it not fully seating the pins but never found this to be the case. I drove 1" pins into red oak and they went fully below the surface. When set to the lighter setting they did protrude but that was expected.
Care must be used with the trigger arrangement but this is common for these machines. I found myself almost firing into the air when moving from one position to another.
Good price and good range of pins driven.
Well satisfied and would do it again.

So far so good has not failed like the previous nailer did anyway time will tell!

Nailker
This nailer supplement other nailers I have as it is differenr gauge with different nail head.
Very usefull for cabinet making ans small on the spot repairs.
Execution of the nailer is very good and hopefully the make=quality.
